Biostatistics PhD student Lucy Gao was awarded a travel scholarship from the American Statistical Association’s (ASA) Biometrics Section to present at the 2019 Joint Statistical Meetings, July 27-August 1, in Denver, Colo.

MS student Marlena Bannick always knew she wanted to work in a field where she could positively impact the health of populations, though she wasn't sure what the best fit would be. But once she took her first biostatistics course as an undergrad at UW, she was hooked.

UW Biostatistics PhD student Kelsey Grinde is the first recipient of the Dorothy (Dottie) L. Simpson Leadership Award presented by the Seattle Chapter of Achievement Rewards for College Scientists (ARCS) Foundation.
