Biostatistics faculty listed among world's most highly cited researchers for 2018

Biostatistics professors Ross Prentice, Daniela Witten, Peter Gilbert, and Steven Self (emeritus) earned places on the list of the world’s most highly cited researchers for 2018. Published by Clarivate Analytics, the list identifies scientists who have demonstrated significant influence through publication of multiple highly cited papers during the last decade.

Witten, Gilbert and Self earned honors in the new Cross-Field category that identifies researchers with substantial influence across several fields. Prentice was recognized in the Social Science general category. Researchers are selected for their exceptional research performance, determined by production of multiple highly cited papers that rank in the top 1% by citations for their field and year in Web of Science.
