Summer Institute in Statistics for Big Data (SISBID)

The Summer Institute for Statistics in Big Data (SISBID) is designed to introduce biologists, quantitative scientists, and statisticians to modern statistical techniques for the analysis of biological big data. Past courses topics have included deep learning and AI, supervised and unsupervised methods for statistical learning, and data wrangling with R. Ali Shojaie serves as the Director of SISBID. 

All SISBID courses are offered online only. Each course runs 2.5 days and participants may register for one or more courses.

Tentative dates: July 7-23, 2027 

Summer Institute in Statistics for Clinical and Epidemiological Research (SISCER)

The Summer Institute in Statistics for Clinical & Epidemiological Research (SISCER) offers introductory and advanced short courses in methods for clinical research and epidemiology. Past course topics have included learning opportunities in clinical trials, two-phase studies, causal inference, biomarkers, and analyzing longitudinal and time-to-event data. Kathleen Kerr serves as the Director of SISCER.

All courses are offered online only. Courses vary in length from one to four days and participants may register for one or more courses.

Tentative dates: July 6-30, 2027
