I am a first-year MS Thesis student in the Department of Biostatistics. My current research focuses on estimating disease heritability mediated by single-cell gene expression under the supervision of Guanghao Qi, Assistant Professor in the Department of Biostatistics. I am working on methods to quantify how much of the genetic contribution to disease may be explained through gene expression measured at the single-cell level. This project involves using GWAS summary statistics and integrating gene expression information to better understand the role of gene regulation in complex disease. Through this work, I am gaining experience in statistical genetics, heritability estimation, and the analysis of high-dimensional genomic data.
