With a background in astrophysics and 15 years of experience in statistical genomics and genetics, I have extensive experience analyzing very large datasets and developing scientific software. I am the author of several R/Bioconductor packages and python-based pipelines, focused on phenotype-genotype association testing with genomic data, and have utilized them at scale with parallel processing on local clusters and in the cloud. I have been involved in submission of data for nearly 100 studies as part of my role leading quality control for the TOPMed Data Coordinating Center. Now as a member of the coordinating centers for PRIMED and GREGoR, I am developing data models and workflows to facilitate consortium work in NHGRI’s AnVIL platform. I am also deeply committed to advancing ethical practices in genomics.
