About

I am a Ph.D. student in the Department of Biostatistics. My academic advisor is Dr. Barbara McKnight. As an RA supervised by Dr. Susan Shortreed, I am researching methodology for estimating adaptive treatment strategies using marginal structural models in the context of mental health care. I am also working on an independent study about optimal treatment rules with Dr. Marco Carone and Dr. Alex Luedtke. Before beginning my Ph.D., I graduated with a B.A. in Mathematics from Grinnell College and spent a year as an Americorps VISTA volunteer. My research interests include causal inference, analysis of EHR data, variable selection, and applications in health services and mental/behavioral health care.
