I am a PhD student in Biostatistics with a background in Statistics from Brazil, where I completed my Undergraduate and Masters degrees. I am currently collaborating with Dr. Ali Shojaie on two research projects. The first project aims to improve the power of detecting named metabolites associated with complex diseases by using information from unidentified metabolites to create a network between samples. The second project focuses on developing and studying methods for analyzing differential expression in spatial transcriptomics. Additionally, I am working as a research assistant with Dr. Li Hsu and Dr. Chad He on multivariate gene set association analysis with summary-based statistics. In my free time, I enjoy dancing, spending time with friends, and pretending I know how to cook.
