For the 2023-24 academic year, the Department of Biostatistics is launching a pre-application review service (PARS) initiative to provide support and mentorship to UW Biostat PhD applicants from historically marginalized groups, including but not limited to racial and ethnic minorities, women, first-generation students, indigenous students, LGBTQIA+ students, students with disabilities, and students from low-income families.
