Findings by UW Biostatistics research may lead to new therapies for prostate cancer

An article published by ScienceDaily highlights research findings co-authored by faculty member Ali Shojaie, associate professor of biostatistics. The article discusses the innovative network-based approach proposed in the study to integrate gene expression and metabolomics data, which led to identification of key biochemical pathways associated with prostate cancer progression.

Shojaie is a joint first author of the paper, which was published in Nature Communications, in collaboration with researchers from Baylor College of Medicine and University of Michigan.
