Description:

The Department of Biostatistics at the University of Washington has an outstanding opportunity for a postdoctoral scholar. The specific areas of methodological research can be flexible, depending on the candidate’s interests and skills.

The postdoctoral scholar will be supervised by and work closely with Drs. Ali Shojaie and James Floyd. Dr. Shojaie is Professor and Interim Chair of the Department of Biostatistics. He has extensive expertise in statistical machine learning, analysis of high-dimensional networks, and integrative analysis of complex biological data, including big omics data. Dr. Floyd is Co-Director of the UW Cardiovascular Health Research Unit (CHRU), where he leads a broad portfolio of research that encompasses the discovery of new molecular targets for cardiovascular disease prevention, and the application of ML/AI approaches to cardiovascular imaging and other data for improved disease detection and screening.

This is a full-time (100% FTE), 12-month/year position, with an initial appointment length of one year and the possibility of renewal.
