UW Conferences Services is now accepting reservations to stay in the UW Residence Halls (dorms) for the 2015 Summer Institute attendees on a space-available basis only. Please read all of the information thoroughly about staying in the UW Residence Halls to ensure you understand their policies and make a well-informed decision about your lodging needs.

Package Description
Special nightly rates have been created to provide campus housing for guests participating in SISG, SISMID, and SISBID 2015. There is no credit for shorter stays and reservations are non-transferable. Reservations must be made by Monday, June 15, 2015. Reservations received after this date are charged a $25.00 Late Reservation Fee and are only processed on a space-available basis. Reservations by walk-in attendees will not be accepted.

Limited Early Arrival and Late Departure housing is available ONLY on the nights of July 3 through July 4, 2015 and July 25 through July 26, 2015. There is no refund for cancelled Early Arrival or Late Departure nights AFTER the reservation deadline date of Monday, June 15, 2015.

Early Arrival & Late Departure Dates:

  • Double Occupancy (w/Private Bath) $61.50/night
  • Single Occupancy (w/Private Bath) $97.50/night
  • Late Reservation Fee $25.00 (applied to reservations submitted after Monday, June 15, 2015)

If you select a Double room, you may indicate a roommate preference, and mutual requests will be honored. If you select a Double Room and DO NOT designate a roommate, one will be assigned. Each guest must complete a separate reservation form and submit payment.

Conference guests will reside in double- or single-occupancy rooms with private baths. All rooms are furnished with twin-size beds, desks, nightstands, dressers, bedding, towels, a small fan, soap, toilet paper and drinking cups. Telephones providing Conference guests with free local service are available at the Conference Desk. University of Washington residence halls are passively ventilated and not air conditioned. Hardwired Ethernet access is available in sleeping rooms for those who bring their computers (Ethernet cord required). University of Washington wireless access is available in all public areas of campus and is also accessible in guest rooms. The required login and password are issued by the Conference Desk. Microwave ovens, laundry facilities, television lounges and other gathering areas are conveniently located in each residence hall. Guests may deposit funds into their conference card laundry account at the Conference Desk. University of Washington residence halls are designed for adult usage, and facilities are not childproof. Adults are responsible for the supervision of their children at all times. Smoking anywhere at the University of Washington is prohibited including in residence hall sleeping rooms. A list of designated outdoor smoking areas is available from the Conference Desk. The University of Washington is a pedestrian campus, and the residence halls are within a ten- to fifteen-minute walk of most meeting facilities on campus. Guests can check in at the Conference Desk located at Lander Hall which will be open 24 hours, 7 days a week. The residence halls are nearby in the West Campus area.


  • Reservations will not be processed unless full payment is received with the reservation. Advance payment must be made in U.S. dollars by check or Visa/MasterCard/Amex.
  • Reservations paid by check must be mailed. Checks must be drawn on a United States bank account, made payable to the University of Washington, and mailed with the printed reservation form. The University of Washington charges $25.00 for all returned checks. Click here to Download and Print the Reservation Form.
  • Reservations paid by Visa/MasterCard/Amex will be submitted online. Your online reservation authorizes the University of Washington to charge your credit card for costs incurred once you have completed the online reservation process. Additional charges can be, but are not limited to, those such as additional nights of lodging, dining, parking, damages or unreturned keys.
  • The University of Washington reserves the legal right for recovery of reasonable attorney fees, court costs and other reasonable collection costs, including payment of collection agency fees.

Cancellation and Refunds:
All refund requests and reservation changes resulting in a refund will include a $25.00 refund processing fee.

  • If the cancellation is received by the Conference Services Office on or before Monday, June 15, 2015, the prepayment less the Refund Processing Fee will be refunded.
  • If the cancellation is received by the Conference Services Office after Monday, June 15, 2015, but before the scheduled arrival date, the prepayment less the Refund Processing Fee, the Late Reservation Fee (if applicable) and one day of room and board will be retained and the balance refunded.
  • If no advance cancellation is received by the Conference Services Office and you do not check-in, no refund will be issued.


Once your reservation and full payment have been processed, you will be sent an email confirmation with your check-in location, travel directions to campus and additional information. SISG, SISMID, and SISBID 2015 attendees may check-in any time after 2:00 PM (1400) and must check-out by 11:00 AM (1100) unless the confirmation states otherwise.
