Since 2003, I have been working on statistical issues related to virology, particularly herpesviruses and HIV. As part of the Virology Research Clinic at the UW, I help conduct both observational research and randomized clinical trials. We also help to evaluate novel antivirals and potential vaccines for HSV. Methods work includes clinical trial design, assay validation techniques, and regression methods for evaluating viral detection.
