Third Annual International Symposium on Evaluation of Clinical Trials Methodologies with Applications, Design of Clinical Trials, and Frontiers of Data Analysis (2009)

In recent years, clinical trials research design and data analysis have received widespread attention due to advancements in clinical trials research. To foster dialogue among clinical trials specialists from mainland China and abroad on study design, data analysis, and related topics, as well as to promote an interdisciplinary approach for future investigations, the People’s University of China, in collaboration with the World Federation of Chinese Medicine Societies Clinical Trials Evaluation Committee, is hosting the Third Annual “International Symposium on the Evaluation of Clinical Trials Methodologies with Applications, Design of Clinical Trials, and Frontiers of Data Analysis (2009).”

We encourage and welcome the participation of scholars and experts in related fields.

  1. Format Specifications:
    • Please submit either an abstract in both Chinese and English (500 words max)or the full text of your paper (8,000 words max). Please include author name(s), title, academic division, postal address, zip code, cell phone number, and e-mail address.
    • Please follow the below format for your e-mail subject line and/or attachment— “Third Annual International Symposium on the Evaluation of Clinical Trials Methodologies with Applications+Title of Paper+Department+Name”.
    • Please use encrypted transmission if your paper contains confidential information.
    • Submission deadline: May 30, 2009.
  2. Paper Selection:
    Selected papers from the conference will be recommended for publication in the following publications: "Data Analysis," "Statistics and Accurate Calculation," "Chinese Journal of Epidemiology," "Traditional Chinese Drug Research & Clinical Pharmacology," "Traditional Chinese Medicine Patient Drug." Among the selected papers, we will further select high-quality refereed papers to include in a special issue of "Statistics in Medicine."
    * Related fees for publication will be announced at a later time.

  3. The Symposium committee may make reasonable revisions to submitted papers. Please keep a copy for your records, as submissions will not be returned.

200 USD per person for overseas (including Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan) attendees
600 RMB for mainland China attendees
300 RMB for Chinese students (please submit a photocopy of your Chinese student ID with registration form)

TRAINING COURSE REGISTRATION FEE

50 USD per person per course for overseas attendees
200 RMB per person per course for mainland Chinese attendees (students included)

  2. The registration deadline is May 30, 2009.
  3. Attendees will receive a government issued Grade A certificate in Continuing Education in Medicine.
