Ruth Etzioni selected as ASA fellow

Ruth Etzioni, an Affiliate Professor in the departments of Health Services and Biostatistics was elected Fellow to the American Statistical Association (ASA) for 2016.  Dr. Etzioni was selected for developing statistical methods and models to address important public health questions in prostate and other cancers, and for significant contributions to the development of national clinical practice guidelines. Etizioni is also a member of Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center.

The ASA is the world’s largest community of statisticians and the oldest continuously operating professional sciencesociety in the United States. Its members serve in industry, government and academia in more than 90 countries, advancing research and promoting sound statisticalpractice to inform public policy and improve human welfare.
